Culturally Sensitive Care

Online Therapy in Missouri City

For Black families and professionals in Missouri City who want a therapist who understands where they come from. Sessions happen by video, on your schedule.

You Should Not Have to Explain Your Whole Life First

Many people of color tell us their past therapy felt like a lesson they had to teach. They spent sessions explaining family, faith, work and race instead of getting help.

Restorative Peace was built as a place where people of color from many cultures can be heard, seen and accepted. Our team is diverse, and culture is part of the conversation from the first session.

That means you can bring your full self: the expectations your family placed on you, the way faith shapes your choices, the stress of being one of few at work. None of it needs a long explanation before you get to the help.

If you have had a therapy experience that did not feel safe or respectful, you can tell us that too. It helps us understand what you need this time.

For the Professional Who Carries It All

If you are the one your family calls, the one who holds it together at work, and the one who never gets to fall apart, therapy can be the place you finally set it down. Clients come to us for stress, burnout, depression and the weight of always being strong.

Being strong for everyone has a cost. It can show up as trouble sleeping, pulling away from people you love, or feeling tired no matter how much you rest. Naming that cost out loud is often the first relief.

Simple to Start

All sessions are online, and clients must be located in Texas during each session. We do not see clients in person.

Common Questions

Can I ask for a clinician who shares my background?
You can tell us what matters to you in a clinician, and we will do our best to match you with someone who fits.
Is it okay to talk about race and discrimination in therapy?
Yes. Experiences with racism, bias at work and family history are welcome topics. They often sit right next to the stress, anger or sadness that brought you in.
Do you offer faith-based counseling?
Yes, if you want it. Faith can be part of your sessions or left out entirely. It is always your choice.
