Therapy for Teens
Counseling for teens ages 13 to 17, by video from home, with parents involved in the right ways.
Is This You?
You might be thinking:
- "My teen seems stressed all the time about school."
- "They've pulled away from friends and family."
- "We argue every day, and I don't know what's going on with them."
- "They are figuring out who they are and could use support."

Someone Who Isn't a Parent or Teacher
Teens often say things to a counselor they wouldn't say at home. That's normal, and it's part of why therapy helps.
A parent or guardian gives consent and helps get things started. Your teen's counselor explains what stays private and what gets shared, so everyone knows the rules.

Getting Started
- 1. Reach out. A parent or guardian can contact us about a teen. Leave contact information without sharing treatment details by message.
- 2. Free consultation. During the free 15-minute consultation, ask about getting your teen started. We also cover scheduling and payment questions.
- 3. Your first session. We help identify someone whose focus fits your teen's concerns. Share clinician preferences; we honor them where possible.
Insurance and Fees
For therapy for teens, our in-network plans include Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Medicare, TRICARE and Curative. Coverage varies by plan and clinician. Self-pay sessions start at $50, depending on the clinician's licensure, and a sliding scale based on income is available.

- Does a parent need to give consent?
- Yes. A parent or guardian gives consent for teens 13 to 17 and is involved in getting started.
- Will I know what my teen talks about?
- You'll get general updates. Details stay private unless there is a safety concern, and the counselor explains this to both of you.
- Can my teen join from their room?
- Yes. A private space at home with headphones works well.
