Your Needs Have a Place Here
Therapy for Hispanic and Latino Adults
You can care about your family and community while needing support for yourself. Individual therapy gives you room to talk, in the language and at the pace that help you express it.

Identity and Belonging
Your connection to culture may be central, complicated or something you rarely discuss. Moving between cultures can add stress at work or home. We ask what being Hispanic or Latino means to you.
Family Expectations and Relationships
You may want help responding to family expectations or asking for more room for yourself. Individual sessions focus on your part in those relationships. For sessions together as a family, see Therapy for Latino Families below.
Racism and Discrimination
Unfair treatment can affect your mood, confidence and belonging. You do not need to minimize it. We ask what happened, what it means to you and what support you want.
Faith, Language and Community
Faith and community can be important sources of connection, but neither has to be part of therapy. Language also matters when describing something painful or personal. You decide what belongs in the conversation, and we check that we understand what you mean.
Sessions in Spanish
Sessions in Spanish are available with Debbie Vidana, our bilingual Graduate Counselor Intern. She practices under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S). Ask the office about working in Spanish so you can discuss your needs before the first appointment.
Everyday Reasons to Reach Out
Anxiety, depression, grief and relationship concerns are enough reason to seek help. Your concern need not involve culture. Start with sleep, worry, a loss or a difficult conversation, then choose your focus.
You Lead the Work
Every counselor on our team can help with multicultural issues. Our approach is culturally sensitive: we ask rather than assume. Debbie offers sessions in English and Spanish. You can ask about her availability and discuss what you want help with during a free consultation. You do not need to explain your personal story in that first call.
Online Care and Coverage
Texas telehealth includes evening and weekend appointments. We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Medicare, TRICARE and Curative. The office checks clinician-specific benefits. An income-based sliding scale is available.
