Room for Your Own Story
Therapy for Southeast Asian Clients
There is no single experience shared by everyone in Southeast Asian communities. Your family, language, beliefs and daily life are yours to describe. We listen rather than assume.

Belonging on Your Terms
Identity may feel steady in one setting and complicated in another. Moving between cultures can mean explaining yourself often or holding parts of yourself back. You can discuss those pressures without choosing one part of your life over another.
Family Expectations
You might want help with a family disagreement, responsibilities at home or expectations about relationships. We do not assume what your family values or how you should respond. Sessions can explore the choices you have and the words you want to use.
Language, Faith and Community
Language can affect how you describe a feeling. Faith and community may bring support, concern or both. You decide how much we discuss, and faith is included only if you want it.
Racism and Discrimination
Being dismissed, excluded or treated unfairly can leave you tired or on edge. We take racism and discrimination seriously without assuming they explain every difficulty. You can name what happened and decide what kind of support would be useful now.
More Than Cultural Concerns
Depression, anxiety, grief and relationship problems can bring anyone to therapy. Your concern need not relate to your background. We ask how daily life has been affected and work with your goals.
Care That Starts With Questions
We offer culturally sensitive care. Every counselor on our team can help with multicultural issues. We ask rather than assume and welcome correction. Clients can ask for a particular clinician; the office can discuss availability, concerns and the kind of conversation you need.
Finding the Right Service
Rithika Sekar is a Graduate Counselor Intern who works with the same clients our associates and interns see. She is not accepting new clients. Contact the office about current availability for the concerns you want to discuss.

Coverage varies by clinician; the office verifies benefits. An income-based sliding scale is available.
