Katy Teens and Families

Online Therapy in Katy

For Katy families watching a teen pull away, or a household that feels tense all the time. Sessions happen by video, after school or on the weekend.

When Your Teen Stops Talking to You

Maybe your teen comes home and goes straight to their room. Maybe grades slipped, sleep changed or the arguments got louder. Parents often wait, hoping it passes, and then worry they waited too long.

We work with teens ages 13 to 17. A teen usually starts with a parent or guardian involved, and then gets their own space to talk with a counselor they can trust.

Support for the Whole Household

A struggling teen affects everyone at home. Family sessions can help parents and kids hear each other without the conversation turning into a fight.

  • Stress about school, friends and pressure to perform
  • Anxiety and low mood in teens
  • Conflict between parents and teens
  • Families adjusting to a move, divorce or loss
  • Bilingual sessions for families who prefer Spanish

Why Video Works for Busy Katy Families

Practice, tutoring and long drives across the west side fill the week. Video sessions remove the trip, and many teens find it easier to open up from their own room than in an office.

Evening and weekend appointments are available. Everyone in the session needs to be in Texas while it takes place.

What Parents Can Expect

Before your teen's first session, you will talk with the office about what you are seeing at home and what worries you most. The counselor then meets your teen, explains how sessions work and what stays private, and starts building trust.

As things move along, parents may be invited to a family session to work on communication, house rules or a recent conflict. You will not be shut out, and your teen will not feel ambushed. The goal is a home where people can talk again.

Teen sessions begin with a parent or guardian involved. All sessions are online for clients located in Texas, and we have no in-person office.

Common Questions

Will I know what my teen talks about?
Your teen needs room to speak freely, so details usually stay between them and their counselor. You will be told about anything that affects their safety, and the counselor explains this to everyone at the start.
My teen does not want therapy. Should we still try?
Many teens are unsure at first. A family session or a short first meeting can lower the pressure. Their counselor will go at a pace your teen can handle.
Can we see someone together as a family?
Yes. Family sessions bring parents and kids into the same conversation, by video, from one room or from different places in Texas.
